The DRIVE Experience
DRIVE – Developing & Retaining Individuals with Vision & Energy – is one of the premiere groups for young professionals in the MSP region. Designed for those under 40, DRIVE informs, engages and connects individuals from all businesses and backgrounds at dozens of events throughout the year. DRIVE has been a MPLS Regional Chamber program for the last 13 years as part of its investment in the regional workforce.
The current DRIVE board represents a cross-section of all MSP industries including law, hospitality, finance and the non-profit sector. These individuals are dedicated to the future of the region and guide the DRIVE program content, ensuring that attendees have a valuable experience. Organizations that encourage young professionals to attend DRIVE events recognize, as does the Chamber, that retaining and growing MSP’s burgeoning young workforce is critical.
The MPLS Regional Chamber produces a variety of events for the DRIVE Emerging Leaders program which are designed to provide attendees with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of issues facing the region, establish meaningful business relationships and build connections to the greater community.
DRIVE Events & Sponsorship Opportunities
The DRIVE Roundtable Breakfasts occur monthly January through October. Each event focuses on a specific topic relevant to the region, and includes concise and informative presentations from a local subject matter expert followed by group discussion. Attendees have ample time to network and build relationships during breakfast. The event attracts a diverse group of 60 to 75 individuals.
New this year! The season pass can be purchased anytime during the year and provides you with admission to all DRIVE Roundtables at a discounted ticket price.
DRIVE Leadership Laboratory
Leaders aren’t born – they’re made. That’s why the Minneapolis Regional Chamber and University of St. Thomas are combining forces to bring the region a new type of event. The DRIVE Leadership Laboratory connects acclaimed professors and instruction from the University of St. Thomas to the Minneapolis Regional Chamber’s young leaders group, DRIVE, to offer a comprehensive training on topics paramount to the emerging workforce.
The DRIVE Leadership Luncheons are mid-day events hosted three times a year. The luncheons feature highly regarded guest speakers and panelists from across MSP with the goal of providing insights, advice and inspiration for individuals in their early to mid-career. Past topics include: philanthropy, workplace ethics and creativity.
The DRIVE Socials happen four to six times each year at a variety of locations throughout the metro providing informal and lively networking. These events are often hosted in partnership with other local young professionals groups, creating additional relationship building opportunities.
