Leadership Twin Cities 2023-24 Application Expectations & Essay Questions

Thank you for your interest in applying to Leadership Twin Cities. We encourage you to read through the following information prior to beginning your application.

Time Commitment and Attendance

The program is intended to be in-person, with the exception of the virtual sessions noted below.

Full participation of the scheduled program days is essential to the Leadership Twin Cities experience. Class members are expected to arrive on time and remain with the class for the entire session. After each day, there will be an optional social time. We highly recommend participants make the time to participate in these sessions to deepen their connections and expand their network.

If you foresee multiple conflicts with your schedule on these program days, it is recommended that you postpone applying for the program until you can better accommodate the program schedule.

Each month there will be additional readings, tours, and assignments that will provide level setting information for the upcoming days’ discussions. This pre-work should take no more than a hour each month to complete. It is highly recommended that class members take advantage of these
experiences to enhance their understanding and impact on critical issues.

Supervisor Support

It is important that Leadership Twin Cities participants have the support of their supervisor and employer. Some corporations have an internal process for selecting applicants from their organization. Applicants are encouraged to discuss the application process, program cost and time commitment with their employer prior to submitting an application.
