There are as many ways to become active with the chamber as there are chamber members. We know that with so many options for involvement, determining where and how to start can be overwhelming. Don’t worry! We are here to help.
Many members find that a great place to start is to attend Meet the Chamber. Meet the Chamber is a free, hour-long program that will give you an overview of chamber events, programs, committees and member benefits. Meet the Chamber is offered multiple times a year at various locations throughout the metro area. To see a schedule of upcoming events, including Meet the Chamber, visit the chamber calendar.
You can also contact us to schedule a Personalized Involvement Plan. We will sit down with you, discuss your interests and objectives, and then recommend the best involvement options for you and your business.
Attending chamber events is the perfect way to become involved with the chamber. You will meet your fellow members and learn about chamber member benefits, all while marketing your business. Events vary from time of day to location and topic, so there is an option to fit every schedule and interest.
ChamberNets and Business-to-Business (B2B) groups are networking leads groups. Group members meet one-two times a month to develop professional relationships, share business introductions and referrals, and serve as industry resources for one another. Groups are limited to one individual per industry and there is a $50 annual fee to participate.
Getting involved with programs you care about connects you to the information and people that will enhance the value of your membership. The chamber offers current members a range of opportunities to share their expertise and enthusiasm with the community.
The Minneapolis and Bloomington Ambassador Committees are dedicated groups of chamber volunteers who welcome new members and help introduce them to chamber programs.
The Ambassadors conduct in-person visits with each new member. During these meetings, the Ambassadors present the new member with a personalized membership plaque, the latest member updates and a door cling. They also share ideas on how to become involved with the chamber and how to best use membership resources. Ambassadors also represent the chamber at grand openings, ribbon cuttings and various other events.
Membership on each ambassador committee is limited. If you are interested in joining one of these committees, please contact the chamber for an application.
