Toro, Minnesota Vikings play key role in new playground for Sheridan Arts School
Representatives from the Vikings, The Toro Company, Minneapolis city officials and more than 200 volunteers gather to celebrate the opening of a new playground for Sheridan Arts Magnet School.
May 31, 2012-The Minnesota Vikings and The Toro Company, in partnership with KaBOOM!, Minneapolis Public Schools and the YMCA of Metropolitan Minneapolis, and more than 200 volunteers built a new playground for the Sheridan Arts Magnet School in northeast Minneapolis on May 31.
This is the seventh playground that the Vikings, Toro and KaBOOM! have built together. KaBOOM! is a national nonprofit organization that envisions a great place to play within walking distance of every child in America.
The annual playground build has become a cornerstone of the Vikings community outreach. As a Minnesota-based company, Toro feels strongly about enhancing communities where employees live and work.
