They will be honored at the 41st Annual Minnesota Keystone Awards Luncheon on December 7, 2017.
The 2017 Minnesota Keystone Luncheon keynote speaker is Tawanna Black, executive director of the Northside Funders Group. Jason DeRusha, WCCO-TV anchor, will serve as the emcee.
Administered by the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Minnesota Keystone Program is open to any Minnesota company that gives at least two percent of pre-tax earnings back to the community in any combination of volunteer time, in-kind donations or cash donations.
The three award winners stand out for their levels and methods of giving, and serve as a model for other Minnesota businesses to follow. For information on how Winona National Bank, The Opus Group® and Dorsey & Whitney practice corporate giving, click here.
“The Minneapolis Regional Chamber has proudly supported the Minnesota Keystone Program since its inception in 1976,” said Jonathan Weinhagen, Chamber president and CEO. “41 years ago, regional business leaders had the foresight to realize that what is good for the community is good for business. Today, businesses in Minnesota set the national standard for corporate giving. This annual event will celebrate this and encourages all businesses, large and small, to give their time, money and expertise to strengthen our communities.”
Minnesota Keystone Program
The Minnesota Keystone Program promotes, supports, and recognizes the contributions Minnesota companies make each year to their communities. Since its inception in 1976, the program has worked to recognize companies that enhance the quality of life in Minnesota by giving back at least two percent of pre-tax net earnings. Qualifying contributions include cash, in-kind donations, employee volunteerism and giving programs. The program is administered by the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce.
BlueCross and BlueShield of Minnesota, RBC Wealth Management and Wells Fargo are ongoing sponsors of the program. For a complete list of sponsors or for more information about the Minnesota Keystone Program, visit www.minnesotakeystone.org.
